Meet Justine Ward, PT, DPT, PWCS, CBBA
Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Pelvic & Women’s Health Physical Therapy
Justine Ward has spent her career helping people understand and reclaim their bodies - through pregnancy and postpartum recovery, through pain and symptoms that too often go dismissed, and through every stage of life.
She is one of a select group of physical therapists to earn board certification as a Clinical Specialist in Pelvic & Women’s Health, a credential awarded by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties that reflects advanced expertise and thousands of hours of specialized clinical practice.
She is also a Certified Breathing Behavior Analyst, bringing a unique understanding of how breathing, the core, and the pelvic floor work together.
A clinician, an educator, and a researcher:
Beyond her hands-on practice, Justine is an assistant professor and core faculty member in the Department of Physical Therapy at Dominican University New York, where she trains the next generation of physical therapists. She established the first pelvic health program in the outpatient rehabilitation department at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey, building specialized care where none existed before.
Justine is also a contributor to the field itself. She is a published, peer-reviewed researcher on core and pelvic function, a contributing clinical expert on national practice guidelines for pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain, and a previous director within the Academy of Pelvic Health’s prenatal and postpartum special interest group. She trains extensively in rehabilitative ultrasound imaging, manual therapy, and integrative approaches to pelvic and core health.
Her approach:
Justine believes that good care starts with being heard. She treats the whole person, not an isolated symptom, and takes the time to explain what’s happening and why. Her goal is not only to relieve your symptoms but to leave you understanding your own body - confident, capable, and empowered to move forward.
